A 150mm Japanese petty knife from Sakai Takayuki, designed for precise, everyday preparation tasks where control and accuracy matter.

The blade is crafted from Böhler N685 stainless steel, offering a strong balance of sharpness, durability and ease of maintenance. A 45-layer Damascus cladding creates a distinctive hamon-style wave pattern, adding both visual depth and corrosion resistance.

Finished with a traditional Wa-handle in rosewood and ebony, the knife is lightweight, balanced and comfortable to use for detailed work such as peeling, trimming and fine slicing.

Handcrafted in Sakai, Japan, each piece reflects the skill and precision of Japanese knife-making.

Product care

-Daily care
Wash with dishwashing detergent, wipe dry and allow to dry.
You can keep it clean by disinfecting it with alcohol or boiling water.
If you will not be using it for a long period of time, wrap it in newspaper and store it in a well-ventilated place.
-Regular sharpening
Sharpening stone : Japanese knives (single-edged) can be kept sharp by regularly sharpening them with a sharpening stone.
Sharpener : Western knives (double-edged) can be easily maintained with a sharpener or filing stick.
