The Peacock glaze features a bold teal blended with a rich, iridescent blue. Each piece has a unique finely dappled pattern determined by its position in the kiln during the firing process.

Focusing on simple, practical shapes and with a gloss finish, the Peacock range provides a bold background to your creations in the kitchen.

Since its official opening in 1960, this kiln has endeavoured to create tableware of the highest quality. Always with the future in mind, their philosophy is to protect and develop the rich history of Japanese tableware by sharing it with the rest of the world.

Slight irregularities in size, glaze and texture reflect the artisan nature of the product and are embraced.

General information & care instructions

Our tableware is food safe and can, with some care, be used in the microwave and dishwasher. Sudden changes in temperature (eg. from freezer to oven) are likely to cause thermal shock, which will damage your item. Always place very hot items onto either wood or cloth.

The Peacock range is designed and made in Gifu prefecture, Japan. Made of 'Minoyaki' porcelain, fired at a high temperature and hand finished in Gifu prefecture, Japan.
