Master the Art of Sticky Rice Dumplings: Lotus Leaf Wraps & Pearl Balls
This hands-on workshop will guide you through the techniques of creating two classic Cantonese sticky rice dumplings: Lotus Leaf Wraps and Pearl Balls.
You'll learn to prepare the fragrant filling for the Lotus Leaf Wrap, combining sticky rice with lop cheung (Chinese sausage), shiitake mushrooms, baby shrimp, and chicken, all seasoned with authentic Asian flavors. We'll then master the art of wrapping and steaming these aromatic parcels.
Next, we'll create Pearl Balls: delicately spiced meatballs infused with Chinese Five Spice, rolled in sticky rice, and steamed to create a delightful textural contrast.
