We asked Hana, lead designer at the kiln why this black glaze is called 'BB' in-house. Her response was simple "Beautiful Black".

A mottled black glaze highlighted with iridescent blue. Each piece has a unique dappled pattern determined by its position in the kiln during the firing process. Focusing on simple, practical shapes and with a subtle matte finish, the BB Black glaze provides the perfect background to let your food do the talking.

Slight irregularities in size, glaze and texture reflect the artisan nature of the product and are embraced.

General information & care instructions

Our tableware is food safe and can, with some care, be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. Sudden changes in temperature (eg. from freezer to oven) are likely to cause thermal shock, which will damage your item. Always place very hot items onto either wood or cloth.
